Crowded does not begin to describe Delhi. The city's crazy traffic will astound American drivers. Lanes, lines, traffic lights mean nothing. A "safe distance between vehicles" can be measured with a thumb and forefinger.
And then there's the honking which has a totally different meaning then we are accustomed to. In India a honk doesn't mean get out of my way. It means I'm about two inches from you, so if you jiggle the wheel we'll both knock into the moped carrying a family of four, the man pedaling a rickshaw, and/or a cow.
